Cold weather and slow shipping

As I whined in my last post about it being cold, the weather just became colder here in Missouri!  Since we are located off side roads, actually on a dirtroad, driving conditions aren’t great unless you might be using 4 wheel drive.  FedEx and UPS both called that my shipments couldn’t be delivered yesterday, so you can guess I am not about to go to them if they can’t make it up our road!  Here’s a picture from inside the shop on the 13th of the back woods – yes, there are trees all the way back and you can’t see them!  It’s was 10 degrees at that point.

So I thought it wouldn’t be any worse, and figured what’s the best thing to do when you can’t go out and have orders?  Make soy milk soap! By making soap and letting it stay very cold during set up, it becomes very creamy white – so I made soy soaps all day.  I figure I would go out on the 14th.

So the 15th, orders will resume again now that I can finally get the tractor out to plow.  There’s plenty of soy milk soap in the molds that’s for certain!
