Some of the orders from last week are just now going out, if you are looking for yours.  There was a death in my very immediate family on Monday night and I took some time off.  I thought most of the orders would be taken care of while I was gone, but I guess I am still needed around here.  I believe everyone was contacted regarding the delay and will receive free shipping.

Thanks for your patience,

Debra

So behind…

It’s already the middle of the month and by now, I should have my seedlings lined up and ready to start – I am so behind.  Botanical Earth had a great holiday, a week off and then January just kept us busy.  I did make sure I had my 2006  Moon Sign Book by Dec. 31 though.  It’s my manual for planting -  I am such a firm believer on planting by the phases of the moon.  Forget the new age hype, this is hard core farming at it’s best in my view and it REALLY does make a difference in my plantings.  Whether strength of seedling, resistance to disease or final taste, everytime I plant, prune, feed or pick by moon phases – everything is better.

So, I am looking at Feb. 27th for starting to planting my little veggie friends this season.  If I start the birdhouse and caveman gourds then, we should be able to get a good harvest for fall.  Two years ago we sold out completely of them so guess I should get my act together and PLANT.

Trying to catch up….

When I started this blog, one of the main purposes was to keep people up to date on some of the new things going on at Botanical Earth…….didn’t happen.

Best of intentions, but I never could have imagined the series of events that would consume my time – can’t complain, just wasn’t prepared. The worst part of being a small business have I have been told, and now I full agree, is dealing with rapid growth. Not to ramble too much but life has been good at Botanical Earth and our sister stores, MoSoap and Naturally Wicked. Hopefully I made it up to everyone that I was slow on orders with….. some of the events; help disappeared that I had hired, my “help” sent packages to the wrong places, added things to the wrong order and I was so tired when I was billing one night that I moved the decimal on a favorite customer’s credit card bill……$34 became $3400. Needless to say she received her order for free because of my mistake – and she didn’t even care that I missed billed her – I LOVE our customers – thank you Margo!!

So, I am back and will try to catch up.
